Our week ended on a high note with high tea for all the ladies of Jeanne Jugan Residence! Early in the morning the Sisters went about their Units distributing the corsages that had been made just a day and a half before by the Sisters. Around 2:30 pm the ladies began to gather in the home’s auditorium, which was quite decorated quite festively with pastel tablecloths and tulip centerpieces. Mildred Capello, a Resident of St. Joseph’s Unit on the 4th Floor, has a daughter, Angela, who has a catering business. She and her husband graciously donated 10 dozen Italian pastries for our tea goers to enjoy! Luscious chocolate and raspberry éclairs, cream puffs and canolli’s were just some of the delicacies every one was able to enjoy with their tea. Not to be left out of the fun, we even had a few of the men join us for a cup of tea and some goodies! It wasn’t only daughters who came to celebrate, but also a variety of family members—sons, grandchildren and even great grandchildren—came to celebrate their loved ones and to thank them for their gift of love in their lives! Happy Mother’s Day to all! – Sr Mary Vincent
