Jeanne Jugan Juniors
Jeanne Jugan Juniors is a great opportunity for girls 13–17 years old to share their contagious joy and youthfulness with the elderly. The group meets one Saturday of each month—according to the possibilities of the girls—11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Each Saturday meeting includes:
-
Mass with the Residents and Little Sisters; members serve as lectors and accompany one of the Sisters on the organ with their voices and musical instruments, according to each one’s talents
-
Serving the Residents their noon meal
-
Activities with the Residents in the afternoon
The Jeanne Jugan Juniors also help out with holidays and special events and arrange seasonal activities with the Residents, such as building gingerbread houses at Christmas time.
Young women are also encouraged to volunteer on their own time, according to their possibilities and talents. Any young woman who wishes to volunteer is welcome!
